Project: Editing & Colour Grading for Melba Swintex's Social Content 🎬
Melba Swintex had a valuable collection of professionally filmed interviews and B-roll. However, the footage was shot on different camera systems, resulting in a mix of Sony S-Log and Lumix Log video files. In its raw, flat state, the footage was visually inconsistent and unsuitable for public use. They needed an editor who could not only create engaging short-form content but also solve the technical challenge of unifying the look and feel of the mixed-media footage.
My Solution
As the project's video editor, I managed the entire post-production process, focusing on creating a cohesive and professional series of social media videos.
Advanced Colour Grading: I handled the complex task of colour grading the mixed footage, expertly matching the different LOG profiles to create a single, seamless, and vibrant look across all deliverables.
Content Curation: I carefully reviewed the raw interviews to identify the most compelling segments, editing them into concise one-minute clips perfectly structured for social media.
Dynamic Editing & Sound: I skillfully integrated B-roll to add visual context, and completed each video with dynamic captions, music, seamless transitions, and professional sound mastering.
The Result
The final deliverable was a batch of visually consistent and highly polished videos ready for social media. By successfully matching the different camera formats, I created a professional and unified brand image for the client. The engaging, short-form edits allowed Melba Swintex to effectively share their message online, maximising the value and reach of their original video shoot.
